CIERTO is a nonprofit labor contractor dedicated to helping employers navigate the federal H-2A, H-2B and other temporary work programs. We recruit, train, and place experienced workers on farms and in the service sector across the United States. Our mission is to actively develop and maintain a professional, career-oriented workforce, committed to returning year after year.

For growers and other employers, CIERTO provides a skilled, certified, and stable solution for their labor needs. Workers benefit from safe, sustainable work opportunities, open communication, and consistent assistance throughout their contract. Our monitoring and oversight system provides retailers and other market actors with assurance that hired labor in supply chains is legal, and free of forced labor and abuse, which has become increasingly important to consumers and regulators.

Our custom services include the processing of temporary work visas (including H-2A and H-2B), coordinating housing and transportation, and troubleshooting issues onsite. We equip our workers with the knowledge they need to help employers maintain compliance with standards on labor, food safety, and quality. Our comprehensive training program provides workers with transferable skills that lead to stable labor opportunities, and high retention rates for employers.

Our Mission & Values

Our Mission: To build the world’s most transparent, secure and cost effective H2 recruitment solution.

CIERTO’s business model is based on our three core values: transparency, collaboration, and sustainability. Every decision we make aligns with these core values.

To meet these high standards, we work with a number of third party verifiers and government agencies, as well as the International Labor Organization and the International Organization for Migration. This independent oversight helps us safeguard the interests of employers and workers, while protecting the integrity of the labor supply chain. We work to eliminate fraudulent, corrupt, and dangerous practices that immigrant farm workers often experience when relocating to the United States.

Our work is rooted in trusted relationships up and down the supply chain – from workers, to growers to retailers and consumers.

History of CIERTO

CIERTO was founded in 2014 by Joe Martinez to fill a need for ethically-recruited agricultural labor in North America. The goal was to support hired labor as they grow in their careers by  recruiting, training, and placing experienced farm workers from Mexico with growers committed to fair and ethical treatment. Since then, the team at CIERTO have processed thousands of H-2A visas and developed hundreds of professional training programs to help farm workers feel secure and proud of their work.

In 2022, CIERTO expanded its work to include recruiting for employers participating in the H-2B program, extending the successful ethical recruitment model to employers in construction, landscaping, protein processing and hospitality sectors.

CIERTO Global is one of the only recruitment organizations to be recognized by the United Nations for best practices in recruitment in the Americas. In 2025, CIERTO received the International Recruitment Integrity System (IRIS) certification, which was developed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to promote ethical recruitment and reduce human rights risks in the recruitment and placement of temporary workers.
